Hi, I'm Jacqueline

I'm a marketer turned start-up founder turned men's stylist. As an entrepreneur, I've always leaned into my curiosity. Forever trying new things, in 2022, I graduated from the Toronto Fashion Academy and started a styling business for men. I've met a lot of men who say they don't care about style but they do care about how they look. My guess is that they would care more if being stylish was easy and affordable. Well, I'm here to help! I have a keen eye for men's style and know that a great outfit is just a colour match, new size, or belt away.

Colour combo: sage green + beige

#MondayMoodboard: Turtlenecks

Great for layering or wearing on their own. I don’t see men wear turtlenecks often but they should be a winter essential.

Pro tip for shorter guys: opt for slim fit vs bulky fabrics, or choose a mock-neck (second slide) to avoid making the neck look short, and layer under a long jacket that adds vertical lines to elongate your torso.

Layering season is finally here! I love a good jacket to add length (with a trench) or dimension (with a jean). Choose classic over trendy so you can wear it year after year.

If you’re looking for something that stands out, choose off-colours, like grey-blue instead of grey, or burnt orange instead of brown.

Colour Combo: burnt orange + cream

Burnt orange is actually very versatile. I like it best with cream because it's monotone and complementary.

🚙 Roadtrip Essentials

We’re heading into the final long weekend of summer. If you’re going on a quick road trip (lucky!), here’s your essential packing list:

- Sweats - because obviously. No one wants to drive more than 10 minutes in jeans
- Dark jeans - pack ’em. These are versatile and can be worn on your most fancy night and a daytime baseball game.
- Crossbody bag - even if you’re not normally a “bag person”, this will make your life so much easier. You’ll be walking a lot and you don’t want to carry things in your pocket.

I’ve heard some of the same questions/myths recently about personal styling/shopping so thought I’d answer a few:

1. It’s too expensive
Hiring a stylist is definitely an investment, but it’s likely not as expensive as you think. It’ll cost between $150-$400 to work with me.

2. It’s only for celebrities
You don’t need to be a celebrity to want to look good. You deserve to feel good in your clothes every day, especially the days you’re going into the office for work or meeting friends on weekends.

3. I have to get all new clothes
Nope. You may already have most of the pieces in your closet. Sometimes a new look is a lesson in colours, styling, and accessories.

4. I’ll have to keep up with trends from now on
Not if you don’t want to. The best part about men’s clothing is it’s rarely very trendy. A good outfit today could work for years.

5. I’m planning to lose/gain weight
There’s no reason why you shouldn’t look good while you do it. You don’t have to wait for your ideal weight for a wardrobe refresh.

It’s almost that time… #backtoschool. Why should kids get all the back-to-school shopping fun? For teachers, a professional wardrobe can be stylish too.

Since you’re probably working with some standard/staple pieces (shirt, sweaters, shirt under sweater), focus on good fit and colour matching. Choose chinos over jeans (@rw_co has great colours) - I’m loving light grey and burgundy bottoms right now.

Neutrals, monochrome, and light colours are always a hit.

Tenniscore, apparently a thing, is basically athleisure but bougie.

I thought I would hate it because I don't like stuffy styles, but it's giving me cool dad that doesn't just wear golf shirts. I'm kind of into it. Lots of knits and sweater vests ❤️.
